About FairTally.
FairTally helps couples, throuples, and polycules who live together track shared bills, choose their own split, and see who owes whom. Here’s who makes it, what you get, and how it works.
Product facts reviewed
Who builds FairTally?
FairTally is built and operated by Venture Melody LLC, doing business as FairTally. The same company is listed as the seller on the App Store and the developer on Google Play.
Fair isn’t always 50/50. Partners can earn different amounts, pay different bills, and contribute to a shared life in different ways. FairTally gives you a place to put your agreement into practice: record the costs, apply the shares you choose, and check the balance together.

What you can do in FairTally
- Keep a shared expense record. Enter an amount, a category, and who paid.
- Use your agreement. Save equal, percentage, or ratio splits. Change the split on an individual expense when needed.
- Review balances together. See who owes whom for a selected month, year, or custom period.
- Record a settlement. After arranging payment, use Settle Up to reflect it in your household’s record.
See the controls in the custom-splits guide, or work through an example for partners with different incomes or a multi-partner household.

What happens outside the app
You decide what is fair and which purchases belong in the shared record. FairTally does not transfer money or verify that a payment happened. A saved split does not create recurring bills automatically; each expense still needs to be recorded.
Members can see the household’s shared records. Giving someone a zero share of an expense changes their cost allocation, not their access to that record.
The free calculator is a separate tool
The shared-bill calculator needs no account. Compare income-based or custom shares in your browser, then manually enter your chosen split into FairTally. Copying the result does not import it into the app.
Privacy, explained plainly
No ads, no bank linking, and no selling your information. App data travels over encrypted connections. FairTally uses account and household records to provide the shared service, and service providers process data for hosting, payments, and other functions described in the Privacy Policy.
You can turn optional app analytics on or off in Profile → Privacy & Security. Limited server events and mobile subscription processing operate separately from that choice. Homepage Google Analytics loads after you accept it. The free calculator has no analytics and does not send or save your entered numbers.
You can request account deletion in the app or by contacting us. Some shared history may remain for other household members. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel Apple or Google Play subscriptions. Read the deletion details and billing terms before deleting.
One household subscription
FairTally Household is US$5.99/month or US$49.99/year for up to 10 members. The household owner manages billing. Prices, currency, taxes, and purchase terms are shown before confirmation; store prices may vary by region.
A newly created household gets 14 days of full access on web, iOS, or Android. This access is provided by FairTally, starts when the household is created, and does not require a card or automatically enroll you in a paid plan. It is separate from any store introductory offer.
After the access period, the household becomes view-only unless it has an active subscription or other valid access. A paid subscription lets you keep adding and editing expenses and renews automatically until canceled under the provider’s terms.
Manage a web subscription in the owner’s billing settings, or a store subscription through Apple or Google Play. See the full subscription terms for cancellation and restoration details.
